Granite Comfort was founded in 2018 by Alex Black and Tiger Infrastructure Partners to invest in and partner with established, market-leading HVAC contractors in the United States. We augment the business model of partner businesses by enabling them to add a rental offering to their existing portfolio of home comfort solutions, creating a unique and differentiated selling proposition that is proven to result in accelerated and more predictable business growth.

Extensive Experience

Chief Executive Officer Alex Black oversaw and led the successful HVAC rental strategy for 10 years as the lead Director of Reliance Home Comfort, the largest Residential HVAC contractor in Canada. Alex Black also served as head of portfolio management for Alinda Capital Partners.   Overall, Executive and Divisional leaders have over 80 years developing and growing HVAC and Plumbing businesses. The EASE Rental product has been successfully introduced at both Air Experts and Frymire Granite Comforts initial acquisitions.

Strong Financial Partner

Granite Comfort has partnered with Tiger Infrastructure Partners, an institutional infrastructure investor with a long-term investment strategy, to support the acquisition of established leading HVAC contractors and the capital invested in ramping up the rental model. Tiger Infrastructure Partners manages approximately $950 million in assets.
